Tom VanDerGeld
Tom VanDerGeld has many years of experience within the Hot Rod and Racing industry.
He gained this experience from building his own spectacular creations, including a Pro-Street 1934 Ford Coupe (it made the front cover of Hot Rod magazine in 1992 and featured in Rod Action) and a drop dead gorgeous 1932 Ford Hiboy roadster. Further valuable experience in building Hot Rods came from his 8 years at Horton Street Rods, which he appreciates.
Tom has also been involved with two drag racing teams and has successfully completed the Jerry Bickel Racetech Race Chassis Course. Tom first acted as crew chief on Al Hines' Pro-Mod Camaro and then the Lowdown Hot Rods / Gary Irving Racing Nitro-Coupe '37 Chevy.
While Tom always dreamt of having his own business, he didn't "jump in" until he had the necessary experience, equipment and knowledge to deliver quality work consistently.
With Toms' positive outlook and honesty, Lowdown Hot Rods is on the right track for success.
